"TIM BURTON'S WONDERLAND... THE ARTIST & FILMMAKER'S EXHIBIT AT LACMA."

The Tim Burton's exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is quite large, and serves as a retrospective on Burton's career. The exhibition brings together over 700 drawings, paintings, photographs, moving-image works, storyboards, puppets, concept artworks, maquettes, costumes, and cinematic ephemera, including art from a number of unrealized and little-known personal projects.

Tim Burton was born in Burbank in 1958. After studying at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), he worked as an animator at the Walt Disney Studios before becoming a filmmaker. He was often inspired by popular culture, fairy tales and customs of the gothic, Burton has transformed Hollywood film making with his unique personal vision.

Mr. Burton's exhibit is comprised of some 700 hundred objects, the pieces show range from drawings to mobiles. Tim Burton's fans will delight at being able to view up close props and sketches from all his works, both unseen and well-known. If you have an opportunity, check out this "amazing" exhibit that will be on view through October 31st, though LACMA is closed on Wednesdays.
